Maurice C. (“Bill”) Bedard, 92, of Pinardville, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2013 at the Catholic Medical Center after a period of declining health.
He was born in Goffstown, NH on July 31, 1920, the son of Joseph and Marie (Cote) Bedard, and graduated from Goffstown High School, class of 1937.
During WWII, Bill served in the US Army as an interpreter. During his life he was employed by the Davison Construction company, Jean Lariviere Wrecking & Moving, and was also a truck driver for the Goffstown Highway Department for many years. He also was a volunteer fireman for Pinardville.
Bill was a longtime communicant of the former St. Edmond Church and recently was a member of the Parish of the Transfiguration in Manchester. He was also a member of the CWV St. Jean Post, the Coeurs Joyeux, and the PAC social club in Pinardville. He loved spending time outdoors, including hunting, fishing and blueberry picking, and above all else, cherished the time he spent with his family.
Surviving family members include his wife of 66 years Marguerite F. (Desfosses) Bedard of Pinardville; three daughters, Louise Labrie of Goffstown, Muriel Mitchell of Bartlett, and Gisele Chenard of Salem, ME; four sons, Maurice Bedard and wife Donna DiBello of Goffstown, Andre Bedard and wife Denise of Goffstown, Marc Bedard of Randolph, and Charles Bedard and wife Paula of Goffstown; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Bedard and wife Fran of Pinardville, Paul Bedard and wife Diane of Goffstown; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in The Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley St. Manchester.
