Mary Adele Desjarlais, 87, of Laurel Ridge Avenue died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Bayberry Commons.
Born in Harmony, she was a daughter of the late Omer and Lucille ( Plante) Plante. She lived in Pascoag for 44 years.
Mary was a bookkeeper for the former Monahan Transportation Company of Warwick for 30 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Norman P. Desjarlais of Pascoag, Edouard O. Desjarlais of Cumberland, Carol A. Guyer of Pascoag, Denise A. Iacono of Johnston and Anne Marie Holzinger of Providence; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a sister, Pauline Patenaude of Johnston. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Eduoard M., Edgar, Bertrand, Philippe and Paul P. Plante, sisters Rena and Claire Quellette and grandson Audey J. Miller.
A memorial gathering to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 9:15AM in the St. Joseph Church Hall(downstairs) 183 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 183 Sayles Avenue, Pascoag, RI. Collation will be held in the church hall immediately following the Mass. Burial is private. Visitation respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or a battered women’s shelter.
