Obituary

BEVERLY: Edwin I. Bell, IV, 59, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
Ted was born on November 1, 1953 and was the son of Virginia S. (Sullivan) Bell of St. Patrick’s of Framingham and the late Edwin I. Bell, Jr. He was a resident of 15 Trask Road in Beverly for many years and had made many good friends while he lived there. Ted was extremely close with his mother and thought the world of her. Her excellent care of him helped him to be the happy person that he was.
He was most proud of his Irish heritage and loved to listen to Irish and many other types of music. He was an avid New England sports fan and used to like to watch the games with his Dad. As a young boy he enjoyed playing street and ice hockey and was most happy when he was the goalie. Ted also had a great interest in the history of wars and loved to learn all that he could about them.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Thomas Bell, Timothy Bell, Terrence Bell and his wife, Megan, Victoria and her husband, Craig Jones, Veronica and her husband, Joseph Clements and Vanessa Linkletter. He was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ted will be held on Thursday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 52 Salem Street, Bradford at 12 Noon. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10 -12 p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers and in appreciation for the loving care provided by Nora and her staff over the last years, donations may be made in Ted’s memory to the Seven Hills Community Foundation c/o Seven Hills, 81 Hope Avenue, Worcester, MA. 01603 Interment will be held in the Elmwood Cemetery in Bradford.
