Albertina E. “Tina”(Rodrigues) Cordeiro, age 83 of Somerset passed away January 6, 2013. She was the wife of the late Louis Cordeiro and daughter of the late John and Mary (Raposa) Rodrigues. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church, a charter member of AmVets Auxiliary #72 in Somerset, she served as State President 1974-75, Past Secretary of LAFRA and a former member of the Somerset PACL and the Somerset Democratic Committee.
Tina was the mother of Bernadette Kerr (husband the late Robert Sr.) of Narragansett, RI, Louise White (husband Preston) of Cheshire, CT, Patricia DaSilva (husband Duarte) of Swansea, Elizabeth Mello (husband Robert Sr.) of Homosassa, FL, and the late Michael P. Cordeiro. She was the sister of the late Edward Roderick and grandmother of Alison Lennon, Amy Kerr, Kevin White, Robert Kerr Jr., Monica Ligunya, Mark DaSilva, C. Michael Cordeiro and Stephanie Ferry. She also leaves 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River SATURDAY at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
