SALEM- Barbara L. (Kent) Giunta, 78, wife of the late Frank J. Giunta, of Salem, died Sunday morning, July 4, 2004, at the Life Care Center of the North Shore, Lynn, following a long illness.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Hollis S. Sr. and M. Gertrude (Verry) Kent.
Mrs. Giunta was a lifelong resident of Salem and attended St. Joseph Church, Salem.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry G. Giunta Sr. and his wife Judith of Salem, Paul T. Giunta and his wife Patricia of Danvers, one daughter, Linda Miranda of Salem, a dear extended family member, Ms. Denise Baillee of Salem, three grandchildren, Jyll and her husband, Richard Hudson of Salem, Larry G. Giunta Jr. and his wife Theresa of Newburyport, Diana Miranda of North Adams, five great grandchildren, one brother, Hollis S. Kent, Jr. of Farmington, New Hampshire, one brother-in-law, John Maguire of Smyrna Mills, Maine and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Eva Maguire and two brothers, Cary Kent and Elliot Kent.
She enjoyed her doll collections, singing, camping, and outings to the Salem Willows. She will be missed by all.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 4 to 8 pm. Burial is in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
