CHICOPEE - Rita Claire (LaFlamme) Salvas Lacroix, 83, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 5, 2013, surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on November 15, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Emile and Alice (Taillefer) LaFlamme and was raised in the South End section of Springfield. She retired from the former A.G. Spalding Company in Chicopee and was currently a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Rita was the past president of the VFW Post 70 in Springfield. She enjoyed playing games on her "puter", loved telling stories, cracking jokes and was passionate about politics. She adored her family and friends and showered them with love and attention. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger Lacroix; and her dear brother, Robert LaFlamme. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Sharyn Trott and her husband, Richard of Grand Island, FL and Karen DeLisle and her husband, Gary of Hardwick, MA; her four cherished grandchildren, Kimberly Trott, Kevin Trott, Melanie Zombik and Amy Robidoux and her husband, Douglas; her cherished great-grandchildren who were the apple of her eye, Caleb and Sophia Robidoux; her dear brothers, Alfred LaFlamme of Chicopee and Richard LaFlamme and his wife, Maryanna of Feeding Hills; her dear sisters, Lorraine Bernier and her husband, Roger of Ludlow and Pauline Paige and her husband, Skip of West Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces and cousins. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
