RAYNHAM – Edith (Corey) Smith, wife of William J. Smith, died at her Raynham home on January 4, 2013.
She was 84.
Born in North Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel S. and Mary (Branco) Corey.
She was educated in Dighton schools.
A retired stitcher, Mrs. Smith was employed in the textiles industry.
She retired many years ago.
Mrs. Smith lived in Raynham for the past nine years, and was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Manuel S. Corey, Jr., Antone S. Corey, Anne DeMello and Virginia Rapoza.
In honor of her request, Mrs. Smith’s funeral was held privately.
Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway at St. Mary’s Square, Taunton.
