Obituary

John P. Carbonello 96, formerly of Dedham, died January 5, in the Golden Living Center in Norwood. He was the husband of the late Adalene (Lynds) Carbonello.
Born in Brockton, February 26, 1916, the son of the late Peter and Mary (Magnante) Carbonello, Mr. Carbonello had lived in Dedham for many years before retiring to Florida where he lived until returning to Massachusetts in 2004.
Mr. Carbonello had been a machinist for the Watertown Arsenal for many years.
Mr. Carbonello had also been music teacher for many years and had played in the Navy band while in the Service.
Mr. Carbonello served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his children, Arthur Carbonello of Brockton, Eileen Savage of Walpole and Chester Carbonello of Dedham.
He was the brother of the late Michael Magnante, Dot Nasso and Linda Carbonello.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday January 11 in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:00a.m.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main Street, Walpole.
