Obituary

Anthony C. Cinquegrana Sr., 70, of Londonderry, NH, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH. Mr. Cinquegrana was born in West Warwick, RI on September 11, 1933, a son of the late Angelo and Antonia (Marsocci) Cinquegrana. He was a resident of Londonderry for 35 years, formerly living in W. Warwick, RI. He was educated in the W. Warwick, RI school system and graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, NH. He served in the US Air Force and was a life member of the American Legion Post #27 in Londonderry. Mr. Cinquegrana began his career as an air traffic controller at Logan Airport in Boston, MA, then transferred to Providence, RI and Quonset, RI. He was the Chief Air Traffic Controller at Brainerd, CT which he started, and was the chief at Hanscomb Tower and Manchester, NH. He retired from the Boston Air Traffic Control Center in Nashua. He was a lifelong member of the Londonderry Lions Club and was just honored with the Melvin Jones Award which he received on July 1st. He served on the Londonderry Planning Board for several years, and was very active in town affairs and community service. He was a communicant of St. Marks Church in Londonderry. While living in Rhode Island he was active in Scouting.

He is survived by wife, Anne M. (Ruzzo) Cinquegrana of Londonderry, two sons, Anthony C. Cinquegrana Jr. and his wife Anne of Candia, NH, Mark A. Cinquegrana and his wife Susan of Newtown, CT, three grandchildren, Maria, Mark and Alycia, four sisters, Margaret Cinquegrana of W. Warwick, RI, Celia Dufault of W. Warwick, RI, Yola Lombardi of W. Warwick, RI, Lena Mansour of W. Warwick, RI, three brothers, Constantino Cinquegrana of Orange, CT, Louis Cinquegrana of Providence, RI, Frank Cinquegrana, CA, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Parente and Connie Petrucci..

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 8th at 10:30am in St. Mark's Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and South Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Londonderry Lions Club, PO Box 642, Londonderry, NH 03053. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
