Worcester – Joanne V. (Williams) Wall, 73, of Worcester, died on Thursday, January 3rd in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an illness.
Joanne leaves behind, her husband of 54 years, Edward Wall; her sons, Mark E. Wall of Dorchester and Keith W. Wall and his wife Kristi of Worcester; a grandson, Cassidy J. Wall; a sister, Carol A. Horgan and her husband Stephen of Hyannis; her brother in laws, William Wall, Robert Wall and his wife Joyce and his wife Joan and Thomas Wall and his wife Lolo; a sister in law, Mary Pogorek and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Wall was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, John and Vida (Letourneau) Williams and is also predeceased by two sisters, Nancy M. Chase and Judith M. Nordstrom; her in laws, John and Mary Wall and a brother in law, James Wall and his wife Gloria.
She is a graduate of South High School, class of 1957 and worked for InstaCare Pharmacies in Marlboro, where she retired as a supervisor. Joanne enjoyed playing bingo, taking day trips to Foxwoods, spending summers at Cape Cod with her family and the many trips that she and her husband took with family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Monday, January 7th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Sacred Heart – Saint Catherine of Sweden Church 600 Cambridge St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Sunday, January 6th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Joanne may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
