Doris M. (Michaud) Dube, 87 died Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center.
Born September 25, 1925 in Lawrence, Doris was the daughter of Alfred and Marie-Ange (Gregoire) Michaud.
Doris was a graduate of the Edward F. Sealers High School, Methuen, MA.
In her early years she worked along side her brothers and sisters at the family business, Michaud’s Market in Lawrence, MA. She also worked as a waitress at the popular Morin’s Restaurant located on Essex Street in Lawrence until her retirement.
Doris was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St Theresa Church in Methuen. She was also a valued member of the Rainbow Club, where she enjoyed weekly card games with dear friends.
Doris was the widow of Roland E. Dube who passed away January 19, 1999.
She is survived by daughters Marlene O’Connell and husband, the late Robert O’Connell, Karen and husband James Burke, Gail Cuipa, and Joyce and husband John Solomon. Doris is also survived by 2 brothers Chanel and wife Claire and Charles and wife Cathy, 2 sisters Claire Hadfield and Bernadette Wood. She is predeceased by brother Robert and sisters Leona, Lucille, and Jeanette.
She was a loving grandmother to Daniel Burke, Tara Richard, Michael and Adam Cuipa, Amanda, Ashley, and Laura Beth Solomon and great grandmother to Jeremy, Avery, Payton, Abigail, Taylor, Benjamin, and Victoria. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will take place on Saturday January 5, 2013 11:45am – 12:45pm at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, MA. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1pm in Our Lady of Good Counsel/ St Theresa Church 22 Plymouth Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
