Roger R. Sergio, age 73, of Brockton, died Wednesday January 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the devoted husband of 46 years of Marylou (Bergeron) Sergio. Roger, born in Brockton, was the son of the late Luigi and Pasqualina (Lembo) Sergio. He remained a lifelong resident of the city. A 1957 graduate of Brockton High School Roger later attended Suffolk College. During the 1960s Roger served in the US Army and Army reserves.

He later owned a store in Hingham called Otis Hall. He was the long time owner of Men-at-Large Clothing Store at Westgate Mall, which later moved to North Easton. He had formerly worked as a staff assistant at the Massachusetts Bay United Fund. Roger served on the Brockton License Commission for several years.

In his free time Roger enjoyed doing his own yard work. Taking care of his pool and preparing it for his family to enjoy was one of his favorite past times. As a devoted family man, father and grandfather, nothing gave him more enjoyment than attending the sporting and school events of his eight beloved grandchildren. Large family cookouts and Italian family dinners were special times in his home. He lovingly enjoyed his dogs Niki, Bergie and Keno. Roger will be remembered as a true family man, generous and kind.
