
TILTON, N.H. — Lawrence J. Patten, age 94, died Jan. 2 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, N.H.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Linnehan) Patten and the husband of the late Audrey M. (Coleman) Patten. He resided in Lynn for 50 years, moved to Nashua and Tilton, N.H.
He was a veteran of World War II of the U.S. Army, serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theatre.
He was a millwright in the Aircraft Division in the General Electric Company, retiring 29 years ago.
He was a communicant of St. Pius V Parish and the Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by two sons, Lawrence A. and his wife Judy Patten of Hollis, N.H. and Michael J. and his wife Leslie of Acton; one brother, William Patten of Nashua, N.H.; two sisters, Barbara Proodian of Lynn and Dorothy Doucette of Lynn. Beloved grandfather of five grandchildren, L.J. and his wife Leann Patten, Jana and her husband Michael Bardsley, Bethany Patten, Nick and Holly Patten and Jon Patten; two great grandchildren, Isabella Bardsley and Violet Patten. Also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Henrietta Bigas, Josephine Noone, John, Richard, Laura and Carole Patten.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn, MA 01905 Monday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial in the St. Pius V Church Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua, N.H.
