Thomas M. Scanlon, of Medford, died Monday at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 60.
Mr. Scanlon was raised in Randolph, the son of the late Thomas J. and Alice (Rafauff) Scanlon. Thomas graduated high school and attended Harvard University before joining his father in the operation of their small electronics firm, Interface Engineering Inc. in Randolph. As president of the firm Thomas undertook primarily Defense Department contracts. Tom loved music and cooking and managed several restaurants in his younger years. He was a devoted family man, followed current events and politics.
The beloved husband of Deborah (Rogers), he was a devoted and loving father to Kimberly, Thomas and Alyse Scanlon all of Medford. The dear brother of John J. Scanlon of Fla., Mark Scanlon and his wife Kelly of Chicago, Gerald Scanlon and his companion Claire Halpin of Plymouth, he was also the brother-in-law of Cindy Scanlon of Plymouth and leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family, Sunday 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford and again on Monday, January 7th at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St Joseph Church, 118 High St. at 9 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
