INEZ G. (LINSCOTT) MELINO, of Braintree passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 at the age of 79 after suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease for the past 12 years. She was born in Arlington, MA and lived in Dorchester and Quincy before moving to Braintree. She was a former Certified Nurses Aide at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester. Aside from her children her greatest love was babies, any baby anywhere.
She was the wife of the late R. Joseph Melino and the late Cleveland Belbin and mother of Charlotte Melino Getz and her husband Dennis of Raymond, NH., Jane Jansson and her husband Paul of Warwick, RI, Timothy Belbin of Braintree, Laura Bigelow of South Berwick, ME, Inez Belbin of Brockton and Robert Melino and his wife Angel of Warwick, RI.. Also sadly missed by our sister Katherine Lyons of Brockton and her daughter-in-law Barbara Belbin of Stoughton. Sister of Marjorie Sawyer of Stoughton, Leonard Linscott and his wife Priscilla of Marlboro and the late George Linscott, Arlene Stonebraker and Pauline Donovan. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children; Gary, Wayne and Vernon Belbin and Rory Melino; and late grandchild, Alexandria Melino-Getz. Inez was the daughter of the late George H. and Grace M. (Stephens) Linscott.
Friends may visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Saturday from 4-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. The interment is to be private.
