Mrs. Eileen (Reader) Castelli, age 62, died Monday evening, December 31st, at home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Somerville, Eileen was the beloved daughter of the late Rose (Marino) Reader & Andrew Reader.
Eileen was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. She was a secretary at the Mitre Corp. in Bedford, MA for over 20 years. She loved the beach, especially in the Caribbean and spent her summers at her home on Cape Cod; Most of all Eileen loved to be with her family, especially her loving grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her beloved husband Stephen F. Castelli. Devoted mother of Andrea Valerio and her husband Steve of Tewksbury, Jeneane Tzovaras and her husband Tony of Burlington, and Stephen Castelli of North Chelmsford. Loving grandmother of Jack, Andrew, Julian, Lucas and Zoe. Sister of the late Cecile McCormick and Janet Toomey. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Eileen's name to Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St. B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
