Joseph P. Riccio

...died in Motocross accident; 41

LOWELL - Joseph P. Riccio, 41, died Saturday, Mar. 2, at the Southern New Hampshire MedicalCenter in Nashua, from injuries sustained in a motocross accident in Hudson, NH, earlier in theday. He was the fiancé of Tammy Rogers of Methuen.

He was born in Boston, Jan. 18, 1961, a son of Mary D. (Campagna-Riccio) Goveia of Lowell,and Albert P. Riccio of Cambridge. He was raised in Somerville and Tewksbury, and had lived inTewksbury until moving to Lowell nine years ago.

In his earlier years, he worked in the residential home construction business.

He was a member of St. William’s Parish community in Tewksbury.

Besides his fiancé and parents, he is survived by his step-father, Henry A. Goveia of Lowell, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert F. and his wife Cynthia (Cahill) Riccio of No. Chelmsford,Stephen M. and his wife Jeanne (Marceau) Riccio of Tewksbury, Robert E. and his wife Victoria(Symanski) Riccio of Wilmington, Henry A. Goveia Jr. of Dracut, a sister and brother-in-law,Christine M. and Russell Kaizer of Tewksbury, several aunts and uncles including SalvatoreCampagna of Tewksbury and numerous nieces and nephews.

HisFuneral Mass was held Wednesday, March 6, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.

Memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis TN 38101 will beappreciated.
