Alstine B. Sears, age 100, of Douglas, GA passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Sears was born on April 25, 1912, in Rochelle, GA to the late William Washington and Eliza Louise Jones Blalock.
Survivors include: her son: Erroll Sears, of Douglas, GA, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three sons, Roger Sears, Larry Sears, and Jimmy Sears, fourteen brothers and sisters, Leanna Herndon, Paul Blalock, Homer Blalock, Arnold Blalock, Luther Blalock, Beatrice Blalock, Minnie Lou Bolton, Edgar Blalock, Sylvestra Fowler, Viola Broadway, Eunice Wilson, Elva Lonette, Kemper Stevens, and William Blalock.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Vaughn and Rev. Marvin Holladay officiating. Interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens.
