Vita Montalto died peacefully at her Florida home on December 24th. She was 90
Born and raised in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and the late Frances (Cavaretta) Rubino. A Somerville resident for over 40 years, Vita lived the last several years in Medford and enjoyed wintering in Florida. A talented seamstress, Vita worked in the clothing industry for many years. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling.
The beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Montalto, she was a devoted mother to Peter Montalto of Medford. The dear sister of Nina Ardagna of Medford, she is predeceased by her brothers Frank and Tony Rubino.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday December 31 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit on Sunday from 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
