Laconia------Marie Rose Cahoon, 87, widow of John Francis Cahoon passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the St. Francis Home in Laconia, NH.
Born in Massachusetts she moved to Center Harbor in 1958. She was the owner of Maries' Restaurant until 1983. Then moving to Belmont in 1986.
She is survived by her only sister Catherine Powers of Ashland, MA. ; five children, Ann Drouin, and her husband, Peter, of Sanbornton, Jacquelyn Mercier, of Belmont, Dennis Cahoon, and his wife Roberta, of Moultonborough, John T. Cahoon, and his wife Deborah, of Center Harbor, and Donald Cahoon, and his wife Deanna, of Lakeport; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont, NH.
