BEVERLY: Anthony D. “Tony” Susanno, 55, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Reneé Y. (Bouley) Susanno.
Born in Gloucester on December 1, 1957, he was the son of the late Leonardo and Frances (Bammarito) Susanno. He had attended Gloucester public schools and has resided in Beverly for the past twenty-four years. As a young man, Anthony worked along the Gloucester waterfront. A “jack of all trades”, he enjoyed doing odd jobs for all his friends and neighbors.
In addition to his wife of twenty-six years, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lessard and her husband, Jason of Danvers; a son, Anthony D. Susanno, Jr. of Beverly; two grandsons, Jake and Colby Lessard; a brother, Michael Susanno; his mother-in-law, Delores Bouley and her companion, Robert Gagne of Peabody and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was also predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Susanno.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot St., Beverly at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Make-A-Wish Foundation, One Bulfinch Place, 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02114 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
