Gloria C. “Tippie” Sevigny, 72, of 57 Tilton Avenue died at her residence June 29, 2004. She was the widow of Normand P. Sevigny who died on July 21, 2001 after a marriage of 51 years.
She was born in Swanton Vermont on September 21, 1931, the daughter of Myrvel and Kathleen (Caswell) Hilliker and had made her home in Laconia for most of her life.
Mrs. Sevigny was homemaker and devoted mother of five.
Family members include a son, Michael J. Sevigny of Henniker NH; three daughters, Donna M. DeLucca and her husband Harold DeLucca of Laconia, Linda A. Spooner and her husband Leigh Spooner of Laconia and Kathy J. Carvell and her husband Joel Carvell of Mars Hill ME; nine grandsons, Jon Sevigny, Chris Sevigny, Andrew Sevigny, Matt Sevigny, Tim Sevigny Paul Sevigny, Joey Sevigny and Jacob Carvell; two granddaughters, Kim (DeLucca) Kimball and Ashley Spooner; three great granddaughters, Cassy Kimball, Kylie Bean and Alana Grace Sevigny; a brother, Lawrence Hilliker and his wife Ruby Hilliker of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son, David A. Sevigny in 1986 and a sister, Joyce Sargent of Franklin.
Calling hours were in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Friday morning from 9 AM to 11 AM. A funeral ceremony was held in the Funeral Home at 11 AM. Burial followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Fire Department Lifesaving Fund, 848 North Main St., Laconia NH 03246. David L. Furber was the funeral director.
