BRIDGEWATER - Lena C. (Perry) Fardie, 82, of Bridgewater passed away Monday, June 28, 2004, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a sudden illness. She was the husband of Norman E. Fardie.
Born Dec. 7, 1922 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Lewis) Perry.
Mrs. Fardie was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and attended Bridgewater schools.She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, camping and traveling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Joan Gambill of Bridgewater; her three brothers, John Perry, Albert Perry and Alfred Perry, all of Bridgewater; her five sisters, Louise Bumpus, Adaline Bumpus and Della Houlihan, all of Bridgewater, Isabel Majkutof of Taunton and Mary LaPointe of East Taunton and three grandchildren, Tiffany Gambill of Bridgewater, Sabrina Gambill of the Naval Academy in Maryland and William Gambill, stationed in North Carolina. She was sister of the late Manual and Tony Perry.
Her funeral will be at 8 a.m. Friday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m.
