Obituary

Linda W. Cerullo, 59, a resident of Lawrence, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Lawrence General Hospital.

Born in Methuen, Linda was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a 1970 graduate of Lawrence High School. She had worked for the Lawrence Public Schools as a Head Cook. Prior to that she had worked at Malden Mills for many years. Linda or "Lindy" as she was known to her close friends and sisters was a loving and caring woman. She was always willing and eager to help others before she would help herself. She was always ready to do what she could for anyone who needed assistance. To her family, Linda was a relentless giver of love and compassion. Often stubborn, there were many times she went 'without' just so that her children and family could go 'with'. She taught her boys to be tough, passionate, and to pursue life as they saw fit.

Ever so dedicated to her family and job, Linda loved making her home the place to be on Sundays. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and shopping. Anyone who was around Linda immediately felt the impact of her kindness. Always greeting you with a smile, she was always happy to start a conversation with anyone whether friend or stranger. A true person of love, she always ended each and every conversation with a simple yet immense "Love Ya".

Linda will be forever greatly missed by all her friends, co-workers, and most of all her family. Linda lived long enough to get married, enjoy her family, and eventually become a boss at work. She also reconnected with all her sisters after years of separation. Linda was able to be a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and to finally dance with her two sons at her oldest sons wedding. Although not rich with luxury, no person who has friends and family is a failure. Linda in that regard is rich beyond measure.

The widow of Michael J. Cerullo, members of Linda's family include sons: Michael and his wife Rachel of Lawrence, Patrick and his wife Molly of Belchertown, Mark and his wife Linda of Haverhill, and Matthew of Lawrence. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Shayla, Aaron, Tyler, Alyssa, Rylie and Aidan; one great-grandchild: Jayden, sisters: Joan and her husband David Tetler of North Andover, and Elaine of Methuen, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 3 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
