Worcester – Ernest J. Daignault, 88, of Worcester, died on Wednesday, December 19th in the St. Camillus Healthcare Center after a long illness.
He was born in Pownal, VT son of the late Joseph and Alma (Daigneault) Daignault and lived in Worcester most of his life. Ernest is survived by a brother, Maurice H. Daignault and two nephews Joseph and Stephen Daignault as well as their wives and families. He is predeceased by a brother Lawrence Daignault and two sisters, Yvonne Daignault and Arline Bourgoin.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II under General Patton. Ernest was a foreman for many years at many textile mills and retired in 1984.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 21st at 12 Noon in St. Mary’s Church 17 Waterville St. Grafton. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial contributions may be made to saint Camillus Nursing Home 447 Hill Street Whitinsville, MA 01588.
