Abington - Virginia M. “Ginny” (Perruzzi) Smith 90, a longtime resident of Abington, died Tuesday December 18 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Smith.
Born and raised in Quincy she was the daughter of the late Donato and Margaret (Scolamiero) Perruzzi.
Ginny has been a resident of Abington for over 40 years.
She enjoyed gardening and “singing” but her greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her loving sons Daniel Smith of Abington and Richard W. Smith and his wife Lynn of Rockland. She is also survived by her three grandchildren Amanda, Anthony and Matthew Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her many sisters.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday December 27 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Plain Street Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday December 26 from 5:00-7:00 PM
