Josephine Harper, 89, of Albany, Georgia, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at The Woodlands at Cobblestone in Moultrie, Georgia.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 3, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald with David Conner officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00, Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harper was born February 1, 1915 in Wilcox County, Georgia, to the late Oscar D. Chastain and Molly McDuffie Chastain. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. Mrs. Harper had lived a great part of her life in Ben Hill County and was a former resident of Fitzgerald, Valdosta, and Albany. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for sixty-three years.
Mrs. Harper is survived by her two sons: David (Wanda) Harper of Albany and Tim Harper of Valdosta; two daughters-in-law: Lynette Harper of Albany and Norma Harper of Hickory, NC; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Rexford Harper; two sons: Rexford Harper and Ronald Harper; and a daughter: Patricia Bank.
