
Viola D. (Barrette) Cote, 96, of Manchester, died December 17, 2012 at Carlyle Place after a period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester February 16, 1916 the daughter of Isaie and Marie Louise (Hebert) Boisvert. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Viola worked with her first husband Roger Barrette at the Roger Barrett Co. until retiring in 1969.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards. She also loved to tell jokes and was always the life of the party.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be fondly remembered.
Viola was a communicant of St. Pius X Church.
She was married to Roger Barrette until his death in 1969 and later married Albert Cote until his death 1989. In addition she was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine (Beaulieu) Metivier in 1988, a granddaughter, Diane E. Metivier in 1981, two sons in-law, Armand M. Beaulieu in 1964 and Richard J. Maynard who died in August of this year.
She leaves three children, Robert R. Barrette and his wife Kay of Green Valley, AZ, Muriel L. Maynard of Manchester and Paul R. Barrette and his wife Gail of Bedford; a son in-law, Bert Metivier and his wife Jeannine of Manchester; two step sons, Albert Cote and Norman Cote of California; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her companion of many years, Donald Matthews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at St. Pius X Church., 575 Candia Rd., Manchester Committal prayers followed in Mount Calvary Mausoleum, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted and that memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
