Florence M. (Tinkham) Heuberger, 87, of Mattapoisett died June 25, 2004 at Nichols House Nursing Home in Fairhaven after a brief long illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert N. Heuberger.
Born in Mattapoisett, the daughter of the late Nelson F. and Annie P. (Vaughan) Tinkham, she lived in Mattapoisett for all of her life.
She was a member of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church, where she was a member of the Women's Guild for many years and served as a deaconess.
In her younger years, she was active in the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts. She also participated in the Mattapoisett Council On Aging and Florence Eastman American Legion Post 280 Ladies Auxiliary in Mattapoisett.
Survivors include a son, Nathan A. Heuberger of Melbourne, Florida; a daughter, Betsy Ann Sullivan of New London, Connecticut; two brothers, Rev. Allen Tinkham of Newington, Connecticut, and Robert Tinkham of Carver; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Russell F. Tinkham, Charlotte Tinkham and Joan Tinkham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service in the Mattapoisett Congregational Church Wednesday, June 30th at 11 AM.
Visiting hours are omitted.
Interment private.
