Mr. Joseph B. Stover, age 68 of Medford, formerly of Dorchester died suddenly Sunday at New England Medical Center in Boston. He was the husband of Bernice (Flaherty) Stover. Born in Caviti, Philippine Islands son of the late Loyal and Louise (Smisek) Stover, he is a graduate of Charlestown High School, class of 1962. Mr. Stover was a quiet, family minded man who enjoyed quality time with his children, grandchildren and extended family members. Joe worked as an electrician for the M.B.T.A. and is a proud member of IBEW Local #103. Joe took pride in his following the teachings of the Church of Scientology.
In addition to his wfe, he is survived by 2 sons, Joseph C. Stover and his wife Diane of Medford and Michael Stover of Braintree. Loving Grandfather of Matthew, Andrew, Jacob and Joshua Stover, dear brother of Loyal "Butchie" Stover and his wife Sharon of Everett, Linda Little and her husband Richard of North Attleboro, Josephine Monreal and her husband Ian of Brockton, May Monreal-Gonzalez and her husband Jerry of FL, David Monreal and his wife Michelle of Middleboro and the late Jean Angelone.
Longtime companion of Jean Gordon of Medford. Sadly missed by Jean's children, Hollister D'Ambra, Jason Theriault, Paul Humphries and their children Avery, Sebastian and Justin. A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford Friday Dec. 21, at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
