Husband of Laimute (Matiukaite) Dumcius. Son of Nellie (Stonkus) of Canada and the late Kestutis Dumcius. Father of sons Mantas and Gintautas, both of Quincy. Brother of Diane Boucher of Fairfield, VA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Wednesday at 10:30 AM.
Visiting hours Tuesday 7-9 PM.
Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
Mr. Dumcius worked for John Hancock in Boston as an Issue Analyst. Previously, he worked as a copy editor for PC Week Magazine (1996-1998), the Boston Herald (1981-1982, as night city editor 1992-1993) and the Patriot Ledger (1973-1978, 2000). He also worked as editor/translator for the Baltic Forum (1984-1986). He was educated at Northeastern University (journalism & english), UMass Boston (English) and the University of Vilnius in Lithuania (Lithuanian language, literature & history).
