Rosalind Steed Mann, 70, of Ocilla, Georgia died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M., Friday, December 21, 2012, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Robert Couey officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Mann was born June 1, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late J.T. and Ann Paulk Steed. She was a 1960 graduate of Irwin County High School and was a homemaker. A member of First Baptist Church of Fitzgerald, she was an avid tennis player and loved to paint in pastels and oils. She was very active in her sons’ lives and their sports activities.
She was survived by her husband of 53 years: E.W. “Billy” Mann of Ocilla; sons: David Mann of Ocilla; Terry & Karen Mann of Tifton; Chris & Melody Mann of Ocilla, Jamie & Julie V. Mann of Tifton; nine grandchildren: Megan Mann, Courtney Mann, Payton Mann, Caroline Mann, John Mann, Joel Mann, Jacklyn Mann, Mary Virginia Hogan, and Julie Ann Hogan; brother: Dr. Dennis (Lynn) Steed of Greenville, North Carolina. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Joey Mann.
