Russell C. Savage
Sept. 3, 1925 to Dec. 14, 2012

Russell C. Savage, 87, of Anderson, our beloved paw paw went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2012 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after a year long illness.

He was born in Long Island, New York on September 3, 1925 to Raymond and Helen (Davis) Savage. He was a graduate of DePauw University.

He served in the US Navy during WW II.

He was an engineer at Guide Lamp and retired in 1996.

He was a member of Central Christian Church. Anderson University established a Wanda Savage Award for Town and Gown. He was an avid gardener, bird enthusiast, and loved the musical arts.

He is survived by 6 children, Jeffrey Savage and Justin Savage both of Norwalk, Ohio, Deborah Darlington and Lori DeLawter both of Pendleton, Tom (wife, Rhonda) Baker of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Steve (wife, Jane) Jones of Jacksonville, Florida; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda Savage, his daughter Jacqueline Peci; a sister, Norma and a brother, Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Rick Vale officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Anderson University Savage Musical Scholarship.
