WALTHAM: Edie Murray, 67, of Waltham died on December 10, 2012.
Thanks to skillful and compassionate care, Edie lived well with ovarian cancer for the past seven years.
Edie died at the Wayside Hospice residence in Wayland, MA. She was the founder of Wayside Hospice and mentor to countless hospice workers.
Edie was the beloved child of Minnie Ross. She leaves behind a family to grieve and a host of beloved friends who will greatly miss her for the rest of their lives.
A time of quiet reflection and prayerful visitations will be held from 9:00 Am until her service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Congregational Church of Weston (UCC), 130 Newton Street, Weston, MA.
In lieu of flowers, Edie’s personal wishes and those of her family request that memorial gifts in her memory be sent to the Parmenter Foundation, 400 Boston Post Road, Suite 1A, Sudbury, MA 01776, ATTN: Cynthia Mayher, Executive Director to support and benefit hospice services.
