Obituary

FRANKLIN—Scott M. Maiorana 53, of Franklin, passed peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Wednesday December 12, 2012 following a long illness. He was the husband of Nancy A. (Webb) Maiorana for 27 years.
Scott was born in Boston, on January 8, 1959, and was a son of the late Thomas and Madelyn C. “Sunny” (Doyle) Maiorana. He was a lifelong resident of Franklin, and graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1978, Dean Junior College, and Framingham State College.
Scott was loved by all who knew him. Volunteerism was also a central part of his life, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand. If there was a project Scott was always there to help you. He had a strong passion for the Boston Higashi School of Autism. Scott had a soulful love for all types of music and was a Boston sports enthusiast too. His favorite team was the Boston Celtics, where he most enjoyed time with his sons. He was known for his quick wit and his ability to make his friends and family laugh. Scott’s career was marked by exemplary customer service skills.
Scott leaves his loving wife Nancy, his beloved sons Michael of Franklin and Nicholaus of Burlington, Vermont, his siblings, Jane (Maiorana) Kelley and her husband Kevin, Paul Maiorana and his wife Benesa, Susan (Maiorana) Sullivan and her husband Tom, Lee Maiorana, Michelle (Shelly Maiorana) and her husband Carlos De Dios Ovando, and Allen Maiorana. Also surviving is two sisters in laws, Denise Harland, Cindy Powell, & a brother in law Jay Webb. Scott was an uncle to ten and a great uncle to ten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Monday Dec. 17th, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10AM.
Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday Dec. 16th, from 2-6PM.
