Alice E. (Nelson) Clifton, a long time Medford resident, died Friday at the Woodlawn Manor Nursing Home. She was 93.
Mrs. Clifton was born and raised in Dorchester, the daughter of the late John and the late Helen (Haley) Nelson. Alice lived in Medford for nearly sixty years. She worked many years for New England Telephone as a supervisor of operators. Mrs. Clifton was a member of the N E Telephone Pioneers.
She was the wife of the late John Clifton. She was a devoted mother to Alice Pezzella and her husband Jerry of Lynnfield. She was a dear grandmother of Jennifer and Michael and Great grandmother of Madison and Zachary. She was sister of the late Margaret Reynolds, Mary Wright, her husband Vincent and is also survived by several nephews.
Friends and relatives may call Sunday 5 - 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford.A Funeral Service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
