Carver, Sally J. (Levangie) of Marshfield, passed away on December 11, 2012 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late Henry “Hank” Carver. Loving mother of John Carver and his wife Karin Kaczorowski of Marshfield, Robert Carver and his wife Cheryl of Andover, Nancy Carver and her husband Benjamin Murphy of Monson, Donna Nelson and her husband Marc of Carver, Kerrie Carver of Pembroke, Steven Carver of Marshfield and William Carver of Marshfield. Loving grandmother of Courtney, Chris, Haley, Benjamin, Kelley, Catherine, Madeline, Marc, Nicole, Jack and Steven Jr. Dear sister of Denis Levangie of Springfield, MO and the late Richard Levangie of Belfast, ME. Daughter of the late Richard A. and Catherine E. (Murphy) Levangie. Sally was born and raised in Scituate. She graduated from Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree. She was a graduate of Sargent College in Boston. Sally and her husband Hank owned the Scituate Lobster Company in the 1960’s. Sally was a gym teacher at Weymouth High School. She was the owner of Sally’s Day Care for over 30 years. Sally was on the board of directors at 4-H Camp Farley in Mashpee. She was also the director at Camp Millbrook’s day camp. Sally was the Secretary for the UMass Cooperative Extension Program. She will be remembered for her homemade pies.
Visiting Hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139 in Marshfield on Friday, December 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine’s Church, 1295 Main St. at 11:00 a.m.
Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
