
Mary L. (Marchelletta) Cundari, a 56 year resident of Wakefield, passed into eternal life on Monday, December 10, 2012 at Oosterman's Rest Home in Melrose following an extended illness. She was 98 years old.
Mary was born in Rockland on August 6, 1914, a daughter of the late Amadeo Marchelletta and Maria (Buzza) Marchelletta. She grew up in Rockland where she attended the Rockland Public School system. Mary worked for many years as a stitcher and began during World War II when she worked in a factory that stitched uniforms for all men and women entering the war. Later on in her life, Mary worked for several clothing shops in the area as a stitcher.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Victor Cundari. She is the loving aunt of Robert and Anna Marchelletta of Stoneham, Lorraine and Donald Amerault of Medford, Dorothy and Walter Gressot of Phoenix, Arizona and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is a dear friend of Gerry and Tony Puopolo of Wakefield.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visiting hour for Mary on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 1159 Main St. Wakefield/Melrose line. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
