Robert D. Bergeron 102, of Gaulin Ave. died Monday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Marie (Bourassa) Bergeron. Born in St. Robert, P. Q. Canada, he was a son of the late Joseph and Malvina (St. Michel) Bergeron. Mr. Bergeron worked as a maintenance man for Miller Electric Co. and later Carol Cable for a total of twenty seven years. He was very fond of his cats especially Eric.
He is survived by a son Roland G. Bergeron, and two daughters, Theresa C. Byron and Yvonne L. Bergeron, all of Woonsocket, two brothers, Joseph JP and Lionel Bergeron, a sister Germaine Metzinger, all of Woonsocket, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Joseph “Ted” Bergeron, and Jeannette Bergeron and brother of the late Alfred, Arthur, Aime, Ovila and Eugene Bergeron, Florette Paquin, Grace Desrosiers, and Annette Bergeron.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery.
