Arthur M. Capozzo, age 83, died at home, Thursday June 24th after a lengthy illness. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Angelina (Mistone) & Crescenzo Capozzo.
Arthur was raised in Boston and graduated from Boston English High School. In May of 1939 he enlisted and spent six years in the US Army during World War II with campaigns all over Europe. He was discharged in October 1945 and moved to Medford where he spent the next 54 years raising his family with his wife Rita (Mostone). For the last 3 years Arthur has lived in Everett where he and Rita just recently celebrated there 57th wedding anniversary. Arthur was also a past member of the Malden Moose.
In addition to his wife Rita, Arthur is survived by his daughters Janice DiPerri and her husband Richard of Wilmington, Elaine Morris and her husband William of Everett, and son Arthur Capozzo and his wife Karen of East Hampstead, NH. Arthur is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and one loving great granddaughter. Brother of Carmela DeGrazia of Dartmouth, Anthony Capozzo of Revere and the late Michael, Anna and John Capozzo.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Monday June 28th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
