Bonita Faye (Murphy) Burgan, 71, of Chesterfield, died December 6, 2012 at St. Vincents Hospital folllowing an extended illness.
She was born August 24, 1941 in Connersville the daughter of Albert William Murphy and Alice Nora (Masters) Murphy. She was employed by the Madison County Government Center and Chesterfield Rickers. She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church, She enjoyed cards, bowling, Camping, Pontooning, Fishing, Traveling and spending time with family. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary 408 and numerous other community organizations.
She is survived by her mother, Alice Nora Murphy of Connersville, 4 children, Lindy Burgan, Randy Burgan, Rochele Ellingwood and Eric Burgan all of Chesterfield. 8 Grandchildren: Brittney and Whittney Murphy, Scott Burgan (wife Brittnee) , Blake Burgan, Huston Ellingwood, Sheela Hall, Sha Henry, Shauna Swafford, and 12 great grandchildren. a brother, Martin "Butch" and Michelle Murphy of Hamilton, OH, sister and best friend, Deborah "Debbie" Murphy Hart of Connersville. A host of Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: her husband Jim Burgan, her father Albert Murphy, a brother, Michael Murphy, and a daughter in law, Cherriese( Miller) Burgan.
DATE, PLACE AND TIME OF SERVICES: Funeral will be on Wednesday, December 12th at 1:00 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Chesterfield Food Pantry or the Donors Choice.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Schmidt, Dr. Ruemu Birhiray and Fresenius Medical Care for the loving care they provided to Bonita.
