Dr. Ruth Stewart, born December 18, 1928, ascended to Heaven on December 4, 2012. She was a Mathematics Professor at Montclair State University where she enriched the lives and minds of her students. She retired after a lifelong career. Ruth was a remarkable woman -- fiercely independent, she lived a full life, and she lived it with dignity. She was true to herself and honest; intelligent with a quiet sense of humor. She loved her home, Germany, Christmas, and her beloved Walter. She was slight in form, but she was a spitfire, and a force to be reckoned with. Frank Sinatra’s song “I Did it My Way” fit her perfectly, and we respect and admire her for strength and courage. Her strong spirit and pure heart left a deep impression on those who knew her. WE LOVE AND MISS HER. Services will be held at Volk Leber Funeral Home, Teaneck, NJ, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, Mon., 12-10-12. She will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY, Tues., 12-11-12. Namaste and Godspeed Ruth. Thank you for your love and friendship. May God bless you on your journey.
