WORCESTER___Alice C. (Skibauskas) Deres, 80, of Worcester died Sunday June 20 in her home. Her husband, Bernard J. "Ben" Deres died in 1952.
She leaves two sons, Richard B. Deres and his wife Pamela of Concord, N.H., and Robert P. Deres of Worcester; a sister, Dorothea Survilas of Arlington; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and three nieces. A sister, Helen Skibauskas died in 2001. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Andrew and Petronella (Babinas) Skibauskas and lived here for most of her life.
Mrs. Deres was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service 21 years and retired in 1991. She was a member of St. Casimirs Church, Knights of Lithuania Council 26 and the Lithuanian Charitable Society.
The funeral will be held on Thursday June 24 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St Casimir's Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir's Church Building Fund, 41 Providence St., Worcester 01604.
