Gerald R. Birr age 76 of Derry, NH, died Sunday at Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH
He was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Grew up in Utica, NY, and graduated from Ilion, NY High School. He later received his Bachelors degree from Syracuse University in Accounting. Mr. Birr was a resident of Derry for the past 20 years, formerly of Atkinson, NH.
Mr. Birr was CFO for Data Point Corporation in San Antonio, TX. He was also a CPA for Price Waterhouse and Treasurer for Mohawk Data Sciences. He was a free mason and a member of the Olive Branch Lodge in Ilion, NY Lodge. He was an active member of the Triumphant Cross Lutheran church in Salem. He was also on the Board of Directors for the Greater Salem Caregivers. He was an Eagle Scout Order of the Arrow, and was an active Boy Scout Leader at Camp Russell in NY. He enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening, and was an avid reader. He was also a US Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Wood) Birr of Derry

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 6th at 2 PM at the Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, Zion Hill Road, Salem, NH.
