BRIDGEWATER - Marjorie E. (Gagnon) Gori, 89, of Bridgewater, formerly of East Bridgewater and Rockland, died Tuesday at the Life Care Center in West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Vincent D. Gori.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Mary D. (Sampson) Gagnon.
She was raised in Everett and attended Everett public schools.
Mrs. Gori formerly worked as an electronic assembler at Foxboro Co. in East Bridgewater for many years.
She was also a clerk at Saftlers in Whitman for many years.
Mrs. Gori had been a resident of Bridgewater for 22 years, coming from East Bridgewater and Rockland.
She taught CCD at St. Bridget’s Church in Abington and enjoyed cooking, knitting, painting and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Vincent P. Gori and his wife Margaret “Terry” of Bridgewater and Joseph G. Gori and his wife Patricia A. of Sandwich; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was mother to the late Peter J. Gori and sister to the late Melvin Gagnon.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland.
