Jeannette M. (Cyr) Smith, 69, of New Bedford died Sunday December 2, 2012 at the Oaks Nursing Home after a long illness. She was the wife of William J. Smith.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Bernier) Cyr, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Smith was formerly employed as a van driver for Tremblay Bus Company.
Her family would like to thank the staff of the Oaks Nursing Home for the care given to Jeannette during her illness.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Corene Smith of New Bedford; a sister, Annette Gonsalves of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Chad and Kaitlin Maciel; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Robert Cyr.
