Obituary

Methuen, Ma. Antonio J. “Tony” Sciuto 97 died Friday November 30, 2012 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Restorative Center in Lawrence.
Born in Charleston he was the son of Giovanni and Maria (Quartarone) Sciuto. Mr. Sciuto received his education in the Boston School System.
For many years Mr. Sciuto was in construction as a laborer with Methuen local 175 Massachusetts Laborers International Union.
It was said that he occasionally enjoyed Rockingham Race Track in Salem, NH.
Tony had a wonderful work ethic and also a passion for his tomato garden.
During World War ll Mr. Sciuto served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Massachusetts as a Seaman 1st Class prior to war’s end before being honorably discharged..
Antonio is the widower of Victoria D. “Vicky” (Pulvino) Sciuto. Survivors include his son’s; Anthony J. and his wife Nina Sciuto of New Jersey, Joseph P. and Paul D. Sciuto both of Methuen sister Carmela Manzi of Cambridge 2 grandchildren; Jill and , Steven Sciuto both of New York and several nieces and nephews.
Antonio was predeceased by a sister Christine Riccio, brother Joseph and Santo Sciuto.
A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
Friends will be warmly received on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4-8 PM.
