Faye Harris Burns, 78, of Lithonia, Georgia died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the At Home Hospice in Conyers, GA.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Mickey Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Burns was born March 15, 1934 in Fitzgerald to the late Arline Harris and Myrtle Pauline Williams Harris. A homemaker, she was a 1952 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She was a former employee of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Atlanta. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Burns; daughters and sons-in-law: Caron B. & Rickey Knight of Tucker, GA and Linda B. & Bobby Clay of Seymour, TN; grandchildren: Megan & Hannah Knight, Trisha & Leslie Clay; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue & Bob East of Dublin, Joyce & Earl Williams of Conyers and Don & Frances Harris of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Joe, Johnnny, and James Harris.
