Obituary

Mr. Norman D. Potter of Plaistow, New Hampshire and beloved husband of the late Ruth E. “Betty” (Roderick) Potter passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at the Wingate at Haverhill Nursing Center in Haverhill. He was 87 years old.
Born in Winchester and schooled in Wakefield, he was a long time resident of Andover and North Andover. He was a graduate of Mass Maritime Academy and a commissioned Naval Officer. Norman served in the Merchant Marine's in the Atlantic and Pacific during WWII.
Mr. Potter was in the shoe industry for 59 years as a pattern maker and footwear stylist. He was an Associate Vice President of Lawrence Maid Footwear for many years. He joined Marlboro Footwear in Marlboro and later was associated with Marlboro Footworks LTD of Newton. Norman was a member of the Superintendent's & Foreman's Association and a lifetime member of the Two Ten International Foundation.
He was a loving father to daughters; Susan and her husband Richard Tremblay of Kingston, New Hampshire, Nancy and her husband Michael Bourgault of St. Albans, Vermont and Carol Potter and her partner Kamal Asar of Haverhill. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren; Sarah, Christopher and Danielle Tremblay and Evan, Beky and Ian Paraskos and several nieces and nephews.
