BROCKTON - Emily M. (Peabody) Gasse, 86, of Brockton, formerly of Peabody, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 at Boston Medical Center after injuries from a fall. She was the wife of the late Harry L. Gasse Sr.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Herbert F. and Sarah (Green) Peabody and attended Peabody schools.
Mrs. Gasse was retired from Knapp Shoe Co. in Brockton, where she worked for many years.She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry L. Gasse Jr. and Lisa Whelan of Bridgewater; seven grandchildren, Christina Sullivan, Benjamin and Daniel Gasse, Dawn and Wendy Warniment, Sarah and Elizabeth Gasse; three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Amanda and Rory Sullivan. She was mother to the late Paula Warniment and sister to the late Herbert Peabody and Ruth Hubbard.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
